Advanced Chain Technologies (ACT) group of companies, have supplied world class equipment to Australia’s Longwall Coal Mining and hard rock tunneling Industry since 1997. We are market leaders in our products and are dedicated to supporting the Longwall and Civil Engineer by supplying long lasting, reliable products reducing the maintenance cost per tonne of coal produced.

Our main areas of supply include conveying Chain and Flight Bars, Cable Handling systems - Lifting Equipment.

The experience and academic ability of ACT enables us to provide project specific products providing high warranty levels with confidence and low cost of ownership with very high availability. ACT support its products by offering regular underground visits and reports which enable the life of chain and connectors to be predicted.

Today ACTA controls the majority market share in all Longwall products as it has done since 1997.

About ACTE – Europe

In 2000 ACT (Europe) was established in Nottinghamshire UK to manufacture and supply world wide the world leading product in Longwall Cable Handling ‘Scorpion". ACTE now distributes cable handler systems for longwalls and roadway systems worldwide. InJuly 2004, ACTE moved into their own premises in Worksop UK where the Scorpion product is now being completely manufactured in-house. Scorpion is now regarded as the most durable reliable cable handler worldwide.

About ACT Lifting Equipment Division

In 2003 ACT (Lifting) was established to provide a more dedicated service for the JDT Grade 100 and Grade 80 Lifting Equipment range.

JDT Longwall products and lifting equipment are unique as is the material structure, design and reliability.
